Where is it ???

While I agree with others that it's not the same, I would still settle for it if I could only find it. I can hardly find it anywhere anymore. Seems like you are pushing the new flavors and not distributing the CPB. Don't try to wean me off it. I love it. I live in the deep south and it is HOT down here. Please send more.

Thought I was going crazy!

I looked this up to see if my disappointment over the Chocolate Peanut Butter ice cream was all in my head. I see others are having the same experience. Gone are the wide swaths of peanut butter that made me so happy. I bought another yesterday to see if perhaps the first was a bad batch. To my dismay, no. Little shavings, little flavor. Even the ice cream is lacking. I had forgiven the fact that you no longer give us a full pint because this Chocolate Peanut Butter is the cheapest therapy ever, but this is not okay.

Absolute perfection!

I don't know how they do it, but the ribbons of peanut butter through this chocolate ice cream give you peanut butter in every spoonful. High in calories, but it's so satisfying, you don't need to eat the whole pint. OMG it's like heaven on earth!!!

What changed!

This chocolate peanut butter recipe has functioned as my ‘therapy’ since it came out. Tired, hard day at work? Nothing a pint of Haagen dasz in bed can’t cure! But there was something dreadfully wrong with the last pint I bought. No longer rich and dense with big chunks of pb. It was soft and fluffy and sweet like any other ice cream! Please don’t change perfection!

Lacking salty PB chunks!

My mom and I have obsessed over this ice cream over the past few years. Last month she bought three pints and every single one of them was missing the delicious big chunks of peanut butter. Without that, it is not worth buying the Haagen-Dazs. We are very sad.

Please change it back!!!!!

Omg, please change the recipe back to the original with the delicious peanut butter ribbons distinctively separate from the chocolate ice cream. It's what made it THE BEST! Now its just ok. Tastes like it was stuck in a blender. The people who LOVE this ice cream, loved it for that reason. Why ruin a good thing. I used to love digging through the ice cream trying to break off pieces of salty peanut butter, now it's no fun. I'm not gonna lie, it still tastes good, but its NOT nearly comparable to the original. Please stop the insanity and bring it back.

What Did You Do to My Favorite Ice Cream?!

What happened to my beloved chocolate peanut butter ice cream?? It's got weird shavings on top now instead of the creamy chocolate ice cream and ribbons of peanut butter. It's been like this the last 3 pints I've bought. I even bought at different stores thinking it may have been a bad batch or something. What did you do?? This was THE ABSOLUTE BEST ICE CREAM, EVER! Now it tastes awful!

What have you done, Haagen-Dazs?

Disgusting. I knew it was a bad omen when Haagen Dazs changed (ie. cheapened) their packaging many months ago. I've noticed lots of corporations doing this to their products. It's usually a simplification of their packaging colors to reduce cost. I didn't really care for the new (cheaper) design scheme as it looked obviously less high-end, especially on this most expensive ice cream on the market. I picked up two pints of my families favorite Haagen Dazs a few days ago on these hot summer days. Chocolate Peanut Butter and Butter Pecan. As soon as I opened the Chocolate Peanut Butter I could tell something was amiss. The chocolate ice cream itself was much lighter in color than what I recall, looking like it had much less cocoa in it. Then I tasted it...I instantly felt sick, like I had been punched in the stomach knowing that the last TRUE ice cream on the market was ruined. It's been obviously cheapened up. The most obvious ingredient difference (as per the label) is the addition of sugar to the Peanut Butter Swirl. Almost sickeningly sweet. It previously had NO sugar added to it, containing just peanuts, peanut oil and salt. The original peanut swirl was excellent, large thick chunks with a strong peanut butter flavor that contrasted perfectly with the velvety rich, creamy chocolate ice cream. It is now listed as: peanuts, cane sugar, peanut oil and salt. The swirl is also different, much smaller and mixed throughout. Combined with the newfound ADDED sugar, it tastes overly sweet and very cheap, similar to Ben and Jerry's "Ice Cream" or any other 'premium' supermarket variety. Next up is the "ice cream" itself. Put it this way, I used to rave about Haagen Dazs as being the only real ice cream on the market, as it had a truely creamy texture that could not be duplicated by using anything less than high percentage of cream as a base ingredient. Ben and Jerry's and every store brand uses all sorts of gums and mono- and diglycerides in an attempt to give their "ice cream" the same texture as a more premium, high cream content REAL ice cream. Well, apparently in an attempt to cut costs, Haagen Dazs has definitely lowered the cream content of their "ice cream." So much so that it tastes milky and icy, not the creamy velvet smoothness that it was previously known for. Both the Chocolate Peanut Butter and Butter Pecan I tried had the same milky/icy taste and texture similar to Bryers Natural ice cream. After enjoying Haggen Dazs for well over two decades, I lament to say I will never be buying Haagen Dazs again, as it now tastes no better than Ben and Jerry's or 'premium' store brand ice cream.

Quality has gone down

Like other people have commented, this flavour and quality has really gone downhill fast. Last month I bought this and the ice cream was velvety and high quality. This month it tastes like flavoured ice shavings, there is no depth to it anymore. The peanut butter also does not have the same creaminess it once did. Whatever change you made in production should be reversed. I would not buy this again.

Used to be great

Like other recent reviews the last few times I bought this it hasn't been the same ice cream. None of the fantastic peanut butter chuncks that used to make it one of the best. Now it seems like the peanut butter is mere shavings (flakes even). You can hardly taste it and it gives the whole ice cream a really awkward texture. Went from eating it almost every day to basically never buying it anymore. Have tried multiple providers, sometimes hours apart and they're all like this. Seems like more than just a bad batch.
