The Häagen-Dazs® brand is proud to be chosen as the official ice cream of the Museum of Food and Drink (MOFAD), an innovative culinary institution that shares our enthusiasm, excitement and heart for the culture, history and science of what we eat. Like our founder, Reuben Mattus, who was dedicated to finding the purest ingredients, MOFAD is committed to helping people become better eaters, for their taste buds, health, community, and environment.
We first teamed up with MOFAD for Ice Cream Battle! – a workshop held on July 14th, 2016 highlighting the historical journey of discovery and exploration of the world of ice cream. It was hosted by professed "historical gastronomist" and author, Sarah Lohman. During the event, the audience learned of some little-known stories behind the origins of ice cream, including some of history's most peculiar flavors, all while enjoying their current favorites.
Our relationship with the Museum of Food and Drink is only in its sweet beginnings, but we are already excited for the next extraordinary event.
